MRCC Hi-Line LFD Transmission Swap Skid for NWSD BB5

The Vanquish LFD transmission brings a compact drivetrain package to the NWSD BB5, and the MRCC Hi-Line LFD Transmission Swap Skid was designed to make that combination fit cleanly and intentionally.

Available for both short wheelbase and long wheelbase BB5 chassis, this skid creates a transmission-specific mounting solution while retaining the clean, smooth underside the chassis was designed around.

Micro Dig Servo Mount Preorder

The optional MRCC Micro Dig Servo Mount is currently available as a preorder item.

Orders that include the servo mount should allow approximately 10–14 days before shipment while the first production run is completed.

The servo mount is CNC-cut from strong 7075 aluminum and includes the required mounting hardware for installation.

If you need the skid sooner, order the skid without the servo mount and it will follow the normal processing timeline.

Important Motor Fitment

Because of the tight packaging inside the BB5 chassis, a stubby outrunner motor is required to provide proper clearance around the front leaf spring shackle.

Standard-length outrunners may interfere with the shackle and are not recommended for this installation.

The BB5 already starts with a clean flat-belly layout.

The Hi-Line LFD skid preserves that advantage by keeping the underside smooth and free of unnecessary protrusions while packaging the LFD cleanly inside the chassis.

Built Around the LFD

The LFD’s compact footprint makes it a strong match for the BB5, but packaging around the leaf-spring suspension is tight.

The Hi-Line skid positions the transmission specifically for the BB5 while maintaining clearance around the chassis and suspension hardware. A stubby outrunner motor is required to clear the front leaf spring shackle.

The result is a clean, intentional drivetrain layout that makes the most of the available space.

Dig or Non-Dig

The skid is designed to support the LFD transmission whether the dig unit is being used or not.

An optional MRCC Micro Dig Servo Mount is available for builders who want a compact servo mounting solution designed around this installation.
