MRCC Hi-Line High-Clearance Skid

For the Stock RC4WD TF2 Transfer Case

The factory TF2 transfer case hangs well below the chassis, creating one of the lowest and most likely places for the truck to drag or become hung up.

The MRCC Hi-Line High-Clearance Skid raises and repositions the stock transfer case to provide approximately 16mm of additional belly and breakover clearance while creating a smooth, tapered underside that is far less likely to catch on rocks and ledges.

This is not a completely flat skid. The center section still extends slightly below the chassis rails, but the profile is smooth, intentional, and substantially higher than the factory setup.

16mm More Breakover Clearance

Raising the transfer case provides approximately 16mm of additional clearance at the center of the truck.

That means:

• Improved breakover clearance
• Less dragging over rocks and ledges
• A smoother surface beneath the truck
• Better use of the factory TF2 drivetrain

Raised and Repositioned Transfer Case

The transfer case is not only moved upward. It is also shifted sideways to create the necessary clearance around the factory transmission.

This revised position creates a cleaner, higher drivetrain layout, but it also changes all three required driveshaft lengths and operating angles.

New Driveshafts Are Required

The factory driveshafts cannot be reused.

The transfer case’s new position requires replacement driveshafts for all three sections of the drivetrain:

• Front axle to transfer case
• Rear axle to transfer case
• Transmission to transfer case

All three driveshafts should be measured and cut to fit only after the skid, transfer case, and included pinion-angle shims have been installed.

MRCC recommends cut-to-length driveshafts for this installation.

Driveshafts are not included.

Pinion-Angle Correction Included

Raising the transfer case changes the front and rear driveshaft angles.

To help correct the axle pinion angles for the transfer case’s new position, the kit includes:

• Front pinion-angle shims
• Rear pinion-angle shims

These shims are designed specifically around the elevated transfer-case position.

Important Fitment Note

This kit is designed for the stock RC4WD TF2 transfer case.

Installation requires three replacement driveshafts. Final driveshaft lengths should be measured only after the skid, transfer case, and included pinion-angle shims have been installed.
